The Use of the Name of Jesus

Dr RJ Sing

“Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full”.”
John 16:24

We have the right to use the Name of Jesus when we pray, praise and worship! That Name was given to us, the church and it has not lost its power. *John 14: 12-14, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].”*

Jesus was really saying that you are to take His place here on earth, and He will be your representative in heaven. *Mark 16:17, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.”*

Your Heavenly Father freely grants you whatever you desire in accordance with His Will and purpose as established in His Word. What you ask for in Jesus’ Name is a done deal the moment you ask, therefore ask continually and receive all your desires from God so that your joy may be complete.
