Look Up!
Dr RJ Sing
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.”
In order to live an overcoming life, one has to set his/her heart to the great realities of the Heavenly Sphere. This is where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. This world is our temporary dwelling place.
Now there are two Golden Rules that will help you:
- Constantly keep in mind that Jesus Christ; the Messiah is risen from the dead. (2 Timothy 2:8) and
- Continue to hold to the things that you have learned (2 Timothy 3:14). When you face the pressure of the battle and feel like giving up, begin to “LOOK UP!” This is seeking things which are above.
Focus your attention on the truth that Jesus Christ has Risen from the dead and you are in Him. That means when He arose, you arose. When He defeated the devil, you defeated the devil. His victory is your Victory! Remind satan that Jesus triumphed over him. Just say, “In the Name of Jesus, get out of my way!” That is the way a good soldier talks. Your constant concern must be with Heavenly realities. All your assistance and supplies comes from headquarters. As a Child of God, this is Heaven itself.
