Abraham and the Tithe
Dr RJ Sing
“Therefore [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,”
In order to be children of Abraham, we must walk in the steps of Abraham’s Faith. This includes handling our money the way Abraham handled his money. Paul stated in the Book of Romans that we are all Abraham’s offspring. *“Therefore [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, Romans 4:16.*
Abraham is our Father, when we walk in the footsteps of his faith. When we develop the same kind of faith he had, we will acknowledge that in the areas of our material possessions and finances as belonging to God. Abraham lived his life and operated in faith. Now the Scriptures declare that we are the offspring of Abraham. That is our inheritance and lineage now. We must therefore also operate by faith in the area of tithing and finances. The Tithe belongs to God. When a Child of God commits himself / herself to be a consistent Tither he/she then walks in the complete protection and supply of God. This is what is known as “Divine Supply”.
