Stand Fast in the Lord

Dr RJ Sing

“Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, [my] dearly beloved”
Philippians 4:1

Taking our stand against satan means taking our right position in Christ. Now there are two areas: Firstly, we are to be strong in the Lord. This bears reference to the Word of God. In other words, the place the Word of God has in your life.

Secondly, we are to be strong in the Power of His might. This bears reference to the Holy Ghost. You are to be strengthened by His Spirit. Let us look at two scriptures in this regard: “*But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 and “And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.” Luke 4:14

In your walk with the Lord, you must be a fuel vessel. You cannot afford to be dry and empty. Allow the Spirit of God to remain in the ascendancy in your life. Put into practice everything that you have learned and received, or heard from your teacher, whom God has appointed for you and most of all stand fast in the Lord. “*Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth…” Ephesians 6:14
