He Is the Perfecter of Our Faith
Dr RJ Sing
“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ”
Not only is Jesus the author of our Faith, He is also the “Perfecter” of our Faith. This means that the Lord Jesus Christ will bring you to maturity, to become fully grown in the things of God. Your victory over the world, the flesh and the devil is not dependent upon a Faith you can somehow produce.
It is dependent upon Christ’s Faith that is in you. Jesus has placed His Faith in you, and it is He who will cause your Faith to increase. As you continue to exercise the Faith that He gave you concerning His promises, He will strengthen your Faith, and cause it to grow and develop until it is perfected and brought to full maturity.
God planned for you to “…grow up into Him (Christ) in all things…” (Ephesians 4:15) He planned for you to face all your battles carrying the same mighty, “… shield of Faith…” that Jesus used to defeat satan. So, no matter what confronts you or challenges you, know that what God has begun in your life, He will complete it. Through Him we have hope, favorable and confident expectation of receiving all that is contained in the Promises of God concerning our salvation.
