Faith in Desperate Circumstances!

Pastor Zubeda Sing

“I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted: I said in my haste, All men are liars.”
Ps 116:10-11

The Psalmist discovers, through his personal experiences, that God is gracious and righteous, that He has full compassion for His children and that He protects the simple hearted. God helped him in his distress and put an end to his tears (See Ps. 116:5-6, 8). That’s why the Psalmist is able to keep on believing in God despite his trying circumstances.

He also realizes that God remains faithful and even when men prove unreliable. It is easy to believe in God when things are going well. But it’s a different matter altogether when you are struck by a series of disasters and you are unable to see even one of God’s promises being fulfilled. Christians who are able to keep on believing in God, despite negative circumstances, discover that God not only carries them through difficult times, but ensures that everything works out best for them.

As a result, they can testify that they have become spiritually stronger because of their suffering. If you are going through a crisis, just keep on believing – even if all men are liars, God is completely dependable. You may be having great challenges but know that your Faith will take you through in Jesus Name!
