Worship Is a Lifestyle!
Dr RJ Sing
“For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.”
Anything you do that brings pleasure to God is an act of Worship. God has emotions and bringing pleasure to Him is called Worship. If we fail to worship God, we always find a substitute. There is no Biblical Definition for worship. It encompasses so much. Worship is a lifestyle. Worship is far more than music. Worship predates Music. Adam worshipped in the Garden of Eden. But Music isn’t mentioned until Genesis 4:21, with the birth of Jubal.
Worship is not for your benefit. God’s heart is touched by passion and commitment. Worship is not part of your life, it is your life. Worship is not just for Church Services. In the Bible we find people praising God at work, at home, in battle and in Jail. Every activity can be transformed into an act of Worship. Begin to do everything, as if you are doing it for Jesus. Let us now look at the following scriptures. Romans 12:1 (MSG) “So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life-your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life-and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.” Ephesians 5:10 (MSG) “Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it.” You are planned for God’s Pleasure.
