Pray Easy, Not Hard
Dr RJ Sing
“If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
You can have your prayers answered immediately. It all depends where you see yourself in standing with God. In Mark 4:35-39, Jesus spoke to the wind and said ‘Peace, be still’, and immediately the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Jesus wasn’t praying hard, He wasn’t in intercession, Jesus knew who He was. He didn’t have an identity crisis. He knew there were angels surrounding Him at all times. He knew when He prayed His Father would hear Him and always hear Him. The disciples were not sure who they were that’s why they panicked, but Jesus knew.
If God is moved by your hard praying then when you get a result you have to attribute the success to the hard praying, so God will not get the Glory in that case. In James 5:16, ‘The effectual fervent, heartfelt prayer of a righteous man availeth much’ To say it another way we can say it like this, the red hot prayer of a righteous man availeth much, it didn’t say the hard prayer or hard working prayer.
But now He embodies the word ‘righteous man’. Are you not righteous, of course you are. How were you made righteous, you were not made righteous by your hard praying, you made righteous by the Grace of God through the blood of Jesus.
