What It Means to Have the New Birth

“Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.”
What does it mean to be Born of God? It is to have God’s life, God’s Truth and His nature in us. It is communion, fellowship and like- mindedness with God. It is through the New Birth that we come into a regenerated position.
It is further an impartation of Love into our lives. It is an expression of Him in our lives. “God is Love” (1 John 4:8). This is who God is. We see another glimpse of this in 1 John 4:16 “We know how much God loves us because we have felt his love and because we believe him when he tells us that he loves us dearly. God is love, and anyone who lives in love is living with God and God is living in him.” When you are filled with God, you have no desire for sin.
Why? Because sin has lost its appeal in your life. At the New Birth, you are filled with Love, Purity and Truth. God had already purposed that every Newborn babe in Christ is called to be a Saint. Is this not remarkable, that since the day you were born again, you are called a Saint. Let us look at the Following Scriptures. (See Romans 1:7; 1 Corinthians 1:2)” This is too wonderful for the human mind to comprehend. You were called from darkness into the Light of God. That is why the Word states that “You are the Light of God” Amen.
