Success in Your Home – Part 4

Dr RJ Sing

“I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake. 13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father. 14 I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.”
1 John 2:12-14 – NKJV

Real communication with a child is not achieved in five minutes. Most important things are said in a casual offhand way and if the casual contact is not there, these things will never be said.

In Deuteronomy 11:21 KJV the Bible uses the phrase, “As the days of heaven upon the earth.” This phrase actually implies to the home life of God’s people. How many Christian homes today could accurately be described as Heaven on earth? And yet, truly this is God’s purpose. He desires that each home be a living representation of the nature of heaven here on earth. We often assume that home life began with the human race, but this is not so.

In John 14:2 KJV Jesus says, “In My Father’s house are many mansions.” House in Scripture has a deeper meaning than a material, physical building, it is used to portray an entire family under the headship of a father. It is not just a few people living together under one roof, God has always had a much richer meaning than the one, that is bound up in the very nature of the Godhead.
