Understanding Your Potential – Part 3
Dr RJ Sing
“And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].”
You are worth so much that Jesus went to Calvary to salvage and reclaim you. He looked at Adam and saw a world, He looked at Abraham and saw nations, He looked at Moses, the murderer, He saw a deliverer and God saw a king in a shepherd boy.
The Lord asked Jacob what is your name? (Genesis 32:27-32) The Lord didn’t ask the question in order to get information, because He certainly knew Jacob’s name and that Jacob had the reputation of being a schemer and a deceiver. What He meant by that question is, “Are you going to continue living up to your name, deceiving yourself and others, or will you admit what you are and let Me change you? The Lord cannot fully bless a man until He has first conquered him.
More than anything else, Jacob wanted the Blessing of the Lord on his life, but before we can begin to be like the Lord, we have to face ourselves and admit what we are in ourselves.
