How to Face Your Problems – Part 2

Dr RJ Sing

“For in this way you can give testimony [prophesying and thus interpreting the divine will and purpose] one by one, so that all may be instructed and all may be stimulated and encouraged.”
(Corinthians 14:31 – AMP)

Problems are predictors, they forecast the future by exposing the trends of today. How you react to difficulty when it begins to surface will determine where you and the problem will be tomorrow and that the decisions you make today concerning the problems you have, will shape your future.

Problems remind us that we need God’s help to handle the upheavals of life. Philippians 4:13 NKJV “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Paul knew the secret of success was not self-confidence but Christ-Confidence. His achievements could only come through Christ. Problems are also obstacles, which frustrate us while we attend to our specific goals. For example: a toddler handles obstacles by crying and some adults throw tantrums. Regardless of our re-action to a problem, for a time it’s an obstacle in our path.

Problems are a Blessing, why? Because they try us until we become stronger and stronger in our voyage through life. A smooth sea has never made a skillful mariner. Someone said, every dog needs a few fleas, why? Because it keeps them alert, awake and useful and therefore, we should be too. Psalm 119:71 NIV “It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.”
