How Do You Get Faith – Part 3

Dr RJ Sing

“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
(Romans 10:8-10 – NKJV)

Acts 14:7-10 NIV “Where they continued to preach the gospel. 8 In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked. 9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed 10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.” The man was healed, because he had faith. Paul did three things, He preached the Gospel, he perceived that the man has faith to be healed and he told the man to stand up and walk and that is exactly what the man did.

Where did the man get the faith to be healed? From the Word Paul preached, regarding Salvation and Healing. In Acts 8:5-8 – the great miracles came as a result of Philip’s preaching. Physical healing is part of the Gospel. So, remember that, faith comes by hearing, and by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
