You Are Not to Hesitate
Dr RJ Sing
“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
Most Christians seem to hesitate about everything. It seems sometimes that non followers of Christ are more defensive, go for more opportunities and even jump through open doors. We are to let go off hesitation and double mindedness. What does it really mean to hesitate?
To Hesitate means: To be slow to speak, act or move because you feel uncertain or reluctant. Further, it means to pause, delay, waver, vacillate or be in two minds. Now that is exactly what the other scripture refers to. It states that a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. So, when God speaks to you, don’t waste a moment. You must step out in Faith and do what you are led to do. Make a solid decision to trust in and act on the Word of God. You will only make progress when you function in Faith and a single mind.
Don’t alternate between Fear and Faith. When you hesitate you actually step out in ‘No Mans Land’. That means you step out of Faith and that is where the devil is bound to take advantage over you. So, when the Spirit of God leads you in any matter, refuse to hesitate!
