Sermon outline
God loads His people with benefits every day, and you stir up that strength, joy and boldness in yourself by reading and declaring His Word out loud.
Main text
- Psalm 68:19
- Psalm 68:35
Opening
The tape opens with him leading the church in declarations that the Lord is good and that they are loaded with the benefits of God, then has them give each other a high five and say 'the Lord is with you', explaining that this releases the anointing on their lives to the other person. He has them laugh at the devil, mentions that he has just come from the Phoenix church where 65 people gathered that morning, and notes that it is Mother's Day before turning to Psalm 68:19.
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits
Wherever you are, God daily loads you with wisdom, finances and blessing. He is the God of our salvation, and salvation means you are preserved, protected and delivered. The glory of God goes before, above and behind you, so no harm can befall you and He will satisfy you with long life. He has the church make the verse personal: 'who daily loadeth me'.
Illustration: An accident happens right in front of you, but an angel got you out of the way. Someone has set an ambush to rob you, and suddenly you take a right turn. Your wife asks why you are going that way and you say, 'I just felt like taking the right turn.'
“Salvation means you are preserved. Salvation means you are protected. Salvation means you have been delivered.”
- Psalm 68:19
- Psalm 91:10
- Psalm 91:16
God adds and multiplies
God does not destroy or steal. He adds to you, so you may begin small or poor but you will not remain there. Speaking and prophesying like this stirs up the anointing inside you. Those who left you in a pit, robbed you and expected you to end in poverty will see that you are still around and growing. He has not read of anyone in the Bible on whom the Lord's anointing rested who became poorer and poorer.
Illustration: Abraham became very wealthy, and Isaac sowed in a day of famine. 'How can a man sow on a day of famine? Except God blessed him.'
“You may begin small. But you won't remain small.”
- Deuteronomy 28:7
- Matthew 5:13-14
- Psalm 27:1
- Genesis 13:2
- Genesis 26:12
God gives strength and power to His people
He shows the church how to read the Bible: not in a monotone, but as a declaration. From Psalm 68:35 he declares strength and power over their hands, feet, finances and homes, and tells them they will not grow weary. This is how you stir up the anointing in yourself: you prophesy to yourself, sing psalms and hymns, quote Scripture and make solemn declarations. When the devil shouts that you have failed, tell him it is not over yet.
Illustration: You do not belong to the club of those who fail. You belong to the club that is full of strength, power, anointing and wisdom.
“That's how you stir up the anointing of God in you.”
- Psalm 68:35
- Romans 8:31
- Ephesians 5:19
That your joy may be full
Reading from 1 John 1, he says the Word is declared so that believers have fellowship with the Father and the Son and a full supply of joy that spills over. God is light, and as we walk in the light the blood of Jesus cleanses us. With that joy you are past the stage of being discouraged or offended. It is a stance: the devil does not look down on you, he has to look up and deal with you with respect.
Illustration: He imagines the devil reporting to his agents, as he did about Job's hedge: 'I tried to orchestrate an accident, but it just missed the other car. I tried to close that business down, I increased the bills, I chased away the customers. But I have something to report. They're growing more and more.'
“When he talks to us, he has to look up.”
- 1 John 1:3-4
- Nehemiah 8:10
- 1 John 1:5
- 1 John 1:7
- Job 1:10
Don't be shy: jump and shout to the Lord
People jump and shout at cricket, soccer and rugby matches, so why not in church? David danced before the Lord, and when his wife despised him for it he said he would do it even more, because it was God who promoted him. He has the church say 'I'm not shy, I'm not timid', and says devils come out screaming because they cannot contain the fire of the anointing.
Illustration: When his children were growing up the family would go to the soccer field and clap, jump and shout, and so would the parents on the other side.
“Jump and shout to the Lord.”
- 2 Samuel 6:14-22
God is faithful: He will never give up on you
He says he is excited because of Jesus and the Word, and of course because it is Mother's Day. From 1 Corinthians 1:9 he gives the meaning of faithful: the God who got you started on the spiritual adventure shares the life of His Son with us and will never give up on you. Whatever is facing you, a mountain, a trial or persecution, God does not forget you.
“God is faithful. He never forgets you. And he'll never give up on you.”
- 1 Corinthians 1:9
Forgiven, cleansed and righteous
We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, who is the propitiation for our sins. The Son of God was manifested to destroy the works of the devil, and whoever is born of God has His seed remaining in him. He applies this to the daily life of the believer: when you miss the mark or make a mistake, the blood of Jesus cleanses you. So when the thought comes that you are not worthy to do the work of God, answer it with the blood, and go and heal the sick, cast out devils and share the gospel.
“When you miss the mark, the blood of Jesus cleanses you.”
- 1 John 2:1-3
- 1 John 3:4-10
- 2 Corinthians 5:21
- Matthew 10:7-8
- Romans 1:16
A blessing for the mothers
After praying over the whole church he jokes that it is Father's Day, is corrected, and asks every mother to stand while the church applauds them. He reads the whole portrait of the virtuous woman over them as a blessing to hide in their hearts, and tells them that this is who they are.
Illustration: 'If it was not for them, we would not eat, right?'
“That's who you are.”
- Proverbs 31:10-31
Putting it into practice
- Read your Bible out loud as a declaration, not in a monotone.
- Make the verse personal: say 'who daily loadeth me with benefits'.
- Stir yourself up by prophesying to yourself, singing and quoting Scripture.
- When you feel unworthy, answer the thought with the blood of Jesus.
- Do not be shy or timid in praising God.
Closing
He speaks life into the people's homes, situations and spirits, and prays that they will leave carrying the anointing and know the right words and scriptures to use in every battle. He then has the mothers stand, reads Proverbs 31:10-31 over them and prays favour, wisdom, prosperity, united families and long life over every mother, and the church gives them a great hand clap.
Declarations he led

- I'm blessed coming in, blessed going out, blessed standing up, blessed sitting down.
- Watch me now, devil. I've got the fire of the Lord on me. When I appear, you'll have to disappear.

- Hang on, devil. It's not over yet. God is in control.
- I've received the joy of the Lord. I've received the strength of the Lord. I'm going upward and forward.
- I'm not shy. I'm not timid. The glory of the Lord is on me. The power of the Lord is on me.
