No Trespass Territory: Praying Over a City Hall Crusade

Dr RJ Sing, 1 hr 12 min

Originally recorded as “Prayer Meeting before the City Hall Crusade, 16 April 2008”

Sermon outline

Believers rule in the midst of their enemies through the name of Jesus, so they can pray and prophesy a meeting into success and live as God's protected, grace-filled people.

Main text

  • Psalm 110:2

Opening

The recording begins in the middle of his prayer for the coming Sunday meeting at Durban City Hall, as he prays for the praise and worship team, musicians and singers. He asks that the word will not go forth with the wisdom of man but with power, every word carrying an anointing, and that people will respond to the gospel as he preaches.

  1. Calling forth souls and healing for the meeting

He leads the church to call forth souls from the east, west, north and south out of darkness into the marvellous light. He prays for the sick who will come with expectation, binding sickness and loosing healing, speaking to the blind, the deaf, the crippled and every cancer, and prophesying signs, wonders, salvation and deliverance.

“In the realm of the Spirit, it is done.”

    • 1 Corinthians 2:4
    • 1 Peter 2:9
    • Matthew 18:18
  2. Loosing people from chains

He prays for financial miracles for those who are struggling or poverty minded, loosing them from chains, captivity and limited thinking, because whom the Son sets free is free indeed. He prays for those facing court cases, dismissals and hearings at work, and for young people bound by habits or groping in the dark, including students from the colleges and universities, that the scales would fall from their eyes.

“We loose them from limited thinking.”

    • John 8:36
    • Acts 9:18
  3. Covering every detail and taking charge

He prays for safe travel for everyone coming from the branches and further afield, for favour from the City Hall managers and service providers, and pleads the blood over the sound system, lights and instruments so nothing malfunctions. He binds anyone who would bring strife, theft or witchcraft, declaring every wicked spirit paralysed, because God has not given a spirit of fear and one shall chase a thousand. He has the church face towards City Hall and point holy hands at it, declaring freedom and dominion.

Illustration: Remembering his book, he has them turn towards City Hall and point their hands at it: 'tell someone this is holy hands.'

“It doesn't matter what other people are saying about it, it's what God's word says about your hands.”

    • 2 Timothy 1:7
    • Romans 8:31
    • Deuteronomy 32:30
    • 1 Timothy 2:8
    • Romans 8:28
  4. Healing angels and an increased grace

He releases healing angels into City Hall from two o'clock so that people are healed even before he arrives, and has the church take its place as kings and priests. He prays for the books, DVDs and tapes, and for the people to give hilariously so the budget is covered. Then he prophesies that this is a meeting at a set time and place, and that every believer who comes to serve will leave with an extended, increased grace and go to the next level.

“Every person in that program shall go to the next level.”

    • Revelation 1:6
    • 1 Corinthians 15:57
    • 2 Corinthians 2:14
    • 2 Corinthians 9:7
    • Psalm 34:10
    • Esther 4:14
  5. The Spirit falls: your set time has come

Having done all in the natural, they depend on the Holy Spirit, and he gives Him first place. As the Spirit falls on the people he prophesies that they will not be confounded or dismayed but go forth as a mighty army; that heaviness and fear lift; that God will never leave them; and that the set time has come, with increase in the church, the television programmes, finances, written material and souls, and every church and cell group exploding in growth.

“Now there shall be no more waiting but manifestation.”

    • Hebrews 13:5
    • Matthew 28:20
    • Psalm 102:13
  6. The rod of strength: you will rule through the name of Jesus

Psalm 110:2 says the Lord will send the rod of His strength out of Zion to rule in the midst of your enemies; that rod is Jesus, and only believers have the right to use His name. So they do not get ruled, they rule. The pressures, threats and intimidation the devil unleashes are lying vanities, because the greater One lives inside them, God neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He prepares a table before them in the presence of their enemies. Seated with Christ as kings and priests, they are God's prized possession and a trophy of His grace.

Illustration: To demons, a child of God carries a sign that says 'Keep out': it is not 'beware of the dogs' but 'beware of the owner', because God owns His people.

“He didn't say you will be ruled. He said you will rule.”

    • Psalm 110:2
    • 1 John 4:4
    • Psalm 23:5
    • Psalm 121:4
    • 1 John 5:14-15
    • Psalm 91:10
    • Mark 16:18
    • Daniel 3:25
    • Romans 8:33-34
    • Ephesians 2:6
    • Exodus 19:6
    • Revelation 1:6
    • Isaiah 55:12
  7. Pure grace: accept what He has given you

God does not hear us for our much speaking but because of the Spirit and the anointing already on our lives. Believers cannot become more righteous than they already are, so they should stop struggling and simply accept His grace and love. A man under the anointing for five minutes is more powerful than one who speaks for five hours without it, which is why David prayed 'take not thy Holy Spirit from me.' He blesses the people with favour, protection over their homes and businesses, and says their best months are ahead.

“A man under the anointing for five minutes is more powerful than a man that will speak for five hours without the anointing.”

    • Matthew 6:7
    • Psalm 42:7
    • Romans 10:15
    • Psalm 51:11

Putting it into practice

  • Pray specifically over every detail of a gospel meeting, then depend on the Holy Spirit.
  • Refuse fear and intimidation at work: you rule through the name of Jesus.
  • Stop striving for righteousness and accept the grace God has already given you.
  • Fast and pray with the church before a great meeting.

Closing

He announces Friday's fast and prayer meeting, the workers' briefing, Saturday's on-site prayer and the Sunday 4pm City Hall meeting, with Pastor Zubeda leading prayer from 2pm and more than eight outside churches expected after radio and newspaper adverts. He prays for a couple returning home who are taking his books to translate, then leads the people in confessions of protection and increase, calling it a prayer meeting where they float in the Spirit rather than struggle in the flesh, and sends them home rejoicing.

Declarations he led

  • We are accident-free, plague-free, sickness-free.
  • I've increased in every area. I've grown in every area. I've expanded in every area.
  • Everything about me speaks of fruitfulness. I'm a fruitful vine.
  • I'm covered with the blood. No harm, no danger can befall me. I'm safe. I'm under the blood. I have the name of Jesus.
  • If the Lord is for me who can be against me. I'm strong and mighty. The words that I speak go forth with power.
  • This Sunday we'll have a glorious time. We will dance. We will rejoice. We will be glad.

In his words

  • “He didn't say you will be ruled. He said you will rule.”
  • “You're in no trespass territory for the enemy.”
  • “Now there shall be no more waiting but manifestation.”
  • “A man under the anointing for five minutes is more powerful than a man that will speak for five hours without the anointing.”
  • “Now this is what I call a prayer meeting. Not struggling in the flesh, floating in the spirit.”
