10 Reasons to Speak in Tongues (1)

“I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all.”
Let us consider reasons why every believer should speak in Tongues. Reason No. 1; The Word of God teaches it: *Acts 2:4, “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 10:46, “For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.” Then answered Peter. Speaking in Tongues is an initial evidence or sign of the baptism of the Holy Spirit
Reason No. 2; speaking in Tongues makes us aware of The Holy Spirit’s Presence. As you take time to fellowship with God and speak in Tongues, you will be conscious of God’s Presence in your life. Reason No. 3; It builds one’s faith as you speak in Tongues. Speaking in Tongues builds your faith and helps you trust God in your daily life. Even as you speak in tongues, faith is exercised in your life.
Reason No. 4; Speaking in Tongues keeps you free from the profane elements of the world. As you do this, you break the influence of ungodly things in the world that tries to contaminate you as a believer. Reason No. 5; Speaking in Tongues builds you up spiritually. *Jude 1:20, But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost*.
