Prostration
Dr RJ Sing
“The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,”
The Presence of the Lord can become so tangible and real that it overwhelms you. This causes us to fall prostrate at the Lord’s feet and worship Him.
Daniel’s experience, When Daniel saw a vision he had a similar experience. *Daniel 10:8, “Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.” John’s Experience, Revelation 1:17, “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:” The Experience of the Roman Soldiers, Matthew 28:4, “And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead [men].” Many people fall prostrate under the Power of God. This is normal and most Holy before God
All these manifestations are scriptural. We are not to hold back and suppress these impulses. Remember that they are given to profit withal. *1 Corinthians 12:7, “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” The gifts and operations of the Spirit are for the purpose of edifying the Church. All these gifts and manifestations must be motivated by love. It is also important to observe the scriptural rules governing all spiritual manifestations. You could study it so that you have scriptural insight into their operations in public worship
