The Word of God – A Tower of Strength
Dr RJ Sing
“My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.”
The Word of God is indeed a Tower of Strength. It strengthens you no matter the situation you are faced with. It becomes a Tower of Strength to you. Let us consider some verses of Scripture in this regard:
- The Lord is your strength. Exodus 15:2, *“The LORD [is] my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he [is] my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.”*
- The Lord girds you with strength. Psalm 18:32, *“[It is] God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.”*
- The Lord is the strength of your life. Psalm 27:1, *“The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”*
- The Lord is your refuge and strength. Psalm 73:26, *“My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.”*
The Lord is indeed your strength and your tower. You don’t have to look at any other source besides the Lord your God. He strengthens you according to His Word.
