Power Principle for Giving No.15 (Part 3)
Dr RJ Sing
“I have not coveted anyone's silver or gold or clothing. You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
The blessing is not in what we receive, but in what we give. We serve a GIVING God. It is His nature to give freely and liberally. James wrote, “If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God (Who gives) to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him” (James 1:5 TAB). Our God is a GIVING God Who gives liberally and freely to all!
God wants you to give liberally, freely and wholeheartedly, just as He gives to you. He desires that you will have His Giving nature. He wants you to demonstrate to the world the same, unlimited, liberal giving that He has toward you.
God wants you to take of what you have freely received from Him, and GIVE it freely and liberally to those around you. He not only wants you to give of the temporal blessings He has given you, but to give of the spiritual riches He has poured into your life.
