Group Bible Study!
Pastor Zubeda Sing
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
It is essential for you to spend time alone in the Word of God, but you can also receive a great spiritual blessing when you gather around God’s Word with other Christians. This is what happens in a cell group. It is amazing how each person in the group has different insights to share about a passage of scripture and how all are enriched after the study.
My own spiritual life has been enriched tremendously over the years through a Bible Study group, such as a Cell group. If you do not belong to such a Bible Study Group, you could start one in your area or congregation. Bible study material must be chosen carefully and good planning is essential. Guard against your Bible study group becoming too exclusive.
Give other people in the group the opportunity to join and split the group if it becomes too big. Christ should always remain the centre of your Bible Study Group. This is the condition for His presence. “For where two or three come together in my Name, there I am with them” Become quiet before you start and consciously focus on God before opening His Word. Our Group Bible Study is called a Cell Group. If you are not part of one, why not make a decision to join one?
