Spiritual Growth

Dr RJ Sing

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost”
Jude 1:20

Public prayer is a vital part of public worship. This is where the Holy Spirit takes hold of yielded vessels and prays through them. As we yield our thoughts and ways, we begin to pray according to the Will of God. John 4: 23-24, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.”

We are to worship God in the Spirit. There is no better way to worship him. Ephesians 2:18, “For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” All of our public meetings as well as our private devotional prayer should be God anointed and full of God’s Spirit. So begin to continually build yourself in your most Holy Faith. How do you do this? You pray in the Holy Ghost.

This means that you pray in the Spirit (in Tongues). As you do this, you keep yourself in the Love of God. This means that you walk, function and live in the Love of God 24/7. Do not wait for challenges to confront you before you build yourself up. You do this when all is well and going smoothly for you. This is the key to spiritual victory.
