God Is with You

Dr RJ Sing

“[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
Hebrews 13:5

God promised Abraham and Jacob that their descendants would be like the sand on the seashore. This has been the Picture of Israel for the last two thousand years of history. They have experienced great trials and persecution. satan has himself unleashed countless onslaughts against the Jewish people.

However, it seems that Israel always seem to come out on top. Why? God said He would watch over them. It is God’s Word that is being worked out. The Jews did not choose to be God’s people. It was the Lord who chose them. You know, God always makes the right choices.

The Lord will not forsake His people. Not because they deserve His faithfulness, but for His great Name sake. God’s Name is committed to Israel. So it is with the Church. His honor is at stake.

In the New Testament, Jesus Himself gives us the same assurance: “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). At times we may not be conscious of His Presence, but by His Holy Spirit, He is with us. No matter where we go, God is present by His Spirit. Be comforted and strengthened by this wonderful assurance.
