Your Assignment in the Kingdom – Part 3
Dr RJ Sing
“Because of this Bretheren, be all the more solicitous, and eager to make sure (to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast) your calling and election; for if you do this, you will never stumble or fall.”
The knowledge of God spans the Universe, from the stars to the sparrows to the hairs on your head. It spans not just time, but eternity. If you can begin to sense the totality of God’s knowledge, you will have a different attitude about your life.
Then on the basis of God’s knowledge He chose us. 1 Peter 1:2 “Dear friends, God the Father chose you long ago and knew you would become His children.” Therefore you were chosen according to God’s foreknowledge and that your calling is not an afterthought. God saves you because He has a purpose for you.
So, can you see how important you are? You are not insignificant, you are vitally important and furthermore, when God chooses you to do something for Him, He knows you can do it. He never chooses you to do something, you are not capable of doing, by His grace. Never run from His calling, out of fear that you will fail.
