Kingdom Thinking – Part 1
Dr RJ Sing
“Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] 6 Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained.”
Some things will hinder you from having the mind of Christ, specifically, 3 things that you need to cast down.
1. Casting down imaginations (or thoughts) – The carnal mind is actively hostile and antagonistic toward the things of God. It has a deep seated wall against the knowledge of God. Before a person is born again, he has a carnal mind, until the Word of God breaks through and He turns from darkness to light by accepting Jesus Christ as Savior (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
There is no goodness outside of God. The sinner has a carnal mind and it’s as simple as that. There is a possibility that you can be the same and love God, but be against Him in your thinking, believing, speaking and in your actions. You have to receive the Word of God with meekness, otherwise you remain carnal and unteachable (James 1:21).
A carnal Christian is religious and fights against God’s Word. Christians should be mobile and functional in the things of God. Supernatural things should be taking place in their lives (2 Corinthians 10:3) and since our weapons are not carnal, they are Spiritual.
