Making Major Life Choices – Part 3

“Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. 12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. 13 But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord.”
Abraham gave the Lord what was due to Him. 2 Corinthians 9:8 “God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more so that there will not only be enough for your own needs but plenty left over to give joyfully to others.” This is the power of sacrificial giving.
First, God will measure back to you with the same measure device you use when giving to Him. Second, God is looking for a heart attitude that is free, spontaneous and cheerful in giving. Third, God has the power to resupply your resources to such a point that you will always have enough to give to any worthy project. Fourth, God will remember for eternity what you ‘scatter abroad’. Fifth, if you have a ‘sower’s heart’ and are faithful, God will give you more and more seed to plant.
Finally, God will prosper you financially so you can become a deep resource for His Kingdom in the earth. How many people fail to start down God’s road of Blessing because they ‘sow sparingly’ (2 Corinthians 9:6)? Step through the gate of hilarious, generous, spontaneous giving and watch God supply you with more seed to sow than you ever dreamed possible. He is looking for channels through which He can Bless the world!
