Making Major Life Choices – Part 4
Dr RJ Sing
“Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. 12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. 13 But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord.”
Ephesians 5:15-16 NLT “So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” Like Lot, you can be making unwise choices that hinder your opportunities. The challenge is to follow in the footsteps of Abraham, which are:
1. Abraham had a natural mind / eye of Faith.
2. Abraham’s spirit was charged with God’s Spirit.
3. Abraham had simple Faith (a Loyalty to God). He refused to look at outward circumstances (Romans 4:18-24).
4. Hope: The Desire accompanied by expectation for fulfillment.
Ephesians 2:8-9 NLT “God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”
5. The key to claiming your Covenant rights and privileges.
6. Your spirit must become so charged with God’s (John 1:12).
7. You will receive what you desire and,
8. You must Believe, have Faith and be fully persuaded in your heart.
