What Makes God Smile – Part 2
Dr RJ Sing
“Smile on me your servant, teach me the right way to be”
In the previous devotional we dealt with two reasons that causes God to smile on you. We now deal with the third reason. God smiles when we obey him wholeheartedly. When Noah saved the animals it required great attention to logistics and details. The Bible says, ‘So Noah did exactly as God had commanded Him’ Most people have objectives, questions and reservations when God leads them to do something.
When God directs you to do something, do it without reservation and hesitation. Delayed obedience is really disobedience. Instant obedience will teach you more about God than a lifetime of Theory. In fact, you never understand some commands, until you obey them first. Obedience unlocks understanding.
Often we try to offer God Partial obedience. Yet, partial obedience is disobedience. Trusting God completely means having Faith that He knows what is best for your life. Any act of obedience is also an act of worship. Why is obedience so pleasing to God? Because it proves you really love God. Jesus said if you love me, you will obey my commandments.
