The Abundant Life

Immediately after Jesus said that satan is the enemy, who comes to steal, and to kill and to destroy. Jesus said that He had come to give life more abundantly. Jesus went on to say that He is the Good Shepherd because He gave His life for His sheep.

This abundant life is life to the full until it overflows. The reason Jesus gave His life for you and me is so we can experience this abundant life, here and now, as well as in heaven. There has only been one kind of life provided for us. That is abundant life.

The life of sickness, poverty, worry, stress, anxiety and confusion that so many believers live is not the kind of life that Jesus Christ died to provide. He only provided one kind of life. He gave up His own life that you and I might have a life of abundance.

We have abundant health, abundant prosperity, abundant freedom, abundant joy, abundant peace, abundant faith and abundant love. If your life is not filled with this kind of abundance, then you are not living the true Christian life. You need to have your life founded upon Jesus, the Rock of your Salvation.
