Stand in Your Righteousness

Dr RJ Sing

“And the heavens declare His righteousness (rightness and justice), for God, He is judge. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!”
(Psalm 50:6 – AMP)

When you stand in your righteousness, you have no reason to worry or fear, because God is the judge. Even when you miss the mark, He sees you through the blood of Jesus. That blood cleanses you from sin and presents you as blameless before him. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16 NKJV.

When one is righteous, he is holy and he is as righteous as Christ when born again. Salvation comes through sanctification and belief of the truth. So, one is sanctified when he believes unto righteousness and unto salvation. The word righteousness (Greek Dikaiosune), means righteous ordinance, a decree of acquital and this word is translated Righteousness. “The righteousness of God” is that righteousness which has been fully met and maintained in the atoning work of Christ on the cross, by which God is now able to save sinners and still be righteous in doing so.

Righteousness gives you right standing before God. Your righteousness is founded on faith. Always remember that in the Gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith. So, stand in your righteousness.
