The Blessing of the Lord – Part 2

Dr RJ Sing

“The blessing of the Lord it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].”
(Proverbs 10:22 – AMP)

We all have a right to be blessed as long as we stay connected to Jesus. We are blessed through Divine connections. Therefore, we should never take lightly those with whom we have covenant partnership. Covenant partnerships include church membership and marriage. The people and places we are attached to will determine the course of our lives—whether we abide in blessings or curses.

Jesus shed His blood so that the Blessing of Abraham (named changed from Abram) might come upon all of us. (Galatians 3:11-14) We can abide in the blessing of the Lord. However, God requires certain things of us. He will test us to be sure we are committed to obeying Him. Activating the blessing in our lives will require the renewing of the mind and a commitment to obey God.

When we live Holy, we will abide in the blessing of the Lord (Psalm 24:4-5). Holiness is a mind-set that agrees with the Word of God. The blessing of the Lord makes us whole; wholeness is a state of having nothing missing or broken in life (Proverbs 10:22) Although Abraham was old, the Lord blessed him in every way.
