Words Have Creative Power: Declarations That Frame Your Miracle
Dr RJ Sing, 59 min
Originally preached as “Living Without Fear”
Sermon outline
The unseen presence of God creates what is seen, and declarations spoken under the anointing frame your miracle, but you must boldly act in faith to receive it.
Main text
- Hebrews 11:3
- Hebrews 1:3
Opening
He opens with praise and a run of testimonies: armed robbers broke into Brother Cliff's home and a gun pointed at the family clicked twice without firing, just as he had prophesied on the Sunday without remembering it. Others found money at an ATM, the church banking keeps coming out more than was counted, and the communion wafers on Good Friday stretched to serve the whole church. He says the Lord is escalating the miracles and has changed his plan for the night, telling him to pray for people with thinning hair, so instead of preaching he teaches briefly on declarations.
Don't limit God: there is creative miracle power here
What God is doing in the church can work in your own life, so do not be sceptical or too logical about it. The same God who multiplied bread and fish, provided through the prophets and turned water into wine can create material substance for you.
Illustration: Three people and counting machines check the church's money, yet at the bank it comes out R200, R500 or R1,000 more, and once, when Pastor Zubeda did the banking in Hillcrest, R10,000 more. He calls the water turned into wine a luxurious miracle, given because they were celebrating a wedding.
“So I say to you church, don't limit God, take off the limitations.”
- Genesis 28:16
- John 7:38
- Matthew 14:19
- 1 Kings 17:14-16
- John 2:1-11
Confession, and the step higher: declarations
Confession is taking God's promises, meditating on them and mulling them over until you grab hold of them in your spirit, and it should be done every day. Higher than confession is declaration, when a man or woman of God speaks under the anointing to change things prophetically, because words have creative power.
“Now words have creative power.”
1. The invisible creates the visible
Jesus upholds all things by the word of His power, and the worlds were framed by the word of God, so what is seen was made from what is not seen. The Spirit of God hovering in the atmosphere cannot be seen, only sensed, yet His presence creates what you want to see.
Illustration: He calls Pastor Edward and Pastor Johannes onto the stage to help him demonstrate, and borrows a Bible to 'escape the temptation to preach'.
“The thing that is not seen, the atmosphere, the presence of the Lord in the atmosphere, He creates what you want to see.”
- Hebrews 1:3
- Hebrews 11:1-3
2. Everything God wanted to create, He spoke into existence
In Genesis, everything God said, He saw. Believers follow the same pattern: we speak, and what we say, we see.
“We speak and everything we say, we see.”
- Genesis 1
3. Declarations frame things
When you make solemn declarations and decrees in the Spirit, you frame what you are saying, whether it is the car you want, the house you need or whatever your need is. As the words are spoken, the Spirit of God moves.
Illustration: He has a mic stand held up behind Pastor Johannes to picture a frame, then shows how, by decreeing 'thin hair go', he has framed a full head of hair.
“When you make solemn declarations and decrees in the spirit, everything you say you frame it.”
- Hebrews 11:3
You must be willing to walk through the door and receive it
The declaration is spoken from the platform, but the hearer must take an act of faith and say 'I receive it', using a point of contact such as a hand on the head. If you worry about your neighbour or who is watching, you lose your miracle; disengage your mind, engage your spirit, and make a demand in the Spirit, because the violent take it by force.
Illustration: Early in his walk with the Lord, God told him to run and said that if he was willing to do whatever He said, he would see His power, a lesson he says he has never forgotten in over 25 or 30 years. He also notes that people readily obey a doctor they have never met, yet hesitate when a preacher asks them to check for their miracle.
“If you're shy the power of God will pass you by.”
- Matthew 11:12
Putting it into practice
- Never daydream in a service: grab hold of what the Holy Spirit is saying.
- Keep confessing God's promises daily, and learn to make declarations under the anointing.
- When a word is spoken, receive it with an act of faith and a point of contact, without worrying who is watching.
- Send your testimony by SMS to Pastor Zubeda, including your name.
- When you get home, lay hands on your children and cover your front door and your car with the blood of Jesus.
Closing
After worship and a prayer welcoming the Holy Spirit and the angels, he ministers over thinning and grey hair, eyes, pain, backache, finances, teeth, skin conditions, lumps and tumours and missing body parts, and several people testify in the meeting, including a woman whose bald patch felt rough with new growth, a woman whose lumps on her spine had shrunk, and Lucas, whose neck pain from an accident left him. He then decrees increase, expansion, favour and divine protection over the church for the rest of the month, asks for testimonies by SMS, and sends them home to cover their homes and cars with the blood of Jesus.
Declarations he led
- God is in this place.
- Everything we say we see.
- I receive it now.
- In the name of Jesus I'm healed.
- Don't be afraid.
- God is for real.
- Lord, it's covered by the blood of Jesus.
In his words
- “That's why you must never daydream in a service because you never know what the Holy Spirit is telling you.”
- “Now words have creative power.”
- “If you're shy the power of God will pass you by.”
- “So disengage your mind, engage your spirit.”
- “We did not subscribe to religion.”
