Far Above, Not Just Above: Living the Supernatural Life

God's eternal purpose is for believers to live a supernatural life every day, seeing beyond the natural, seated far above every power, and passing each test so they can rise to the next level.

1. Not by might, nor by power: you are still here

   It does not matter what is looming over you: by God's Spirit it must bow. The devil tried to take out your children, job, business and money and to turn family and neighbours against you, yet you could have been depressed, backslidden or an addict, and you are still here. God's Spirit is leading you, giving you wisdom and opening doors, and there is an anointing on you for expansion and growth. Planted in the right environment, you will grow, and God's whole 'mansion', the kingdom, is open to the believer whose access card is the name of Jesus.

   Illustration: A stunted tree put into the right environment automatically grows. At a rich man's mansion others must ring the buzzer, but every king and priest has a card for God's gate, and the card is the name of Jesus.

2. The eyes of your understanding enlightened

   Paul prays that believers receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation, which already abides in them, so the eyes of their understanding see beyond the natural. The heroes of Hebrews 11 took God at His word when everything looked impossible. Thomas would only believe what he could touch and see, but Abraham believed beyond what he saw. The Word has already said you are blessed with every spiritual blessing, yet many keep searching for blessings like those who could not see the Messiah standing in front of them.

3. The exceeding greatness of His power: finances above the world system

   His mighty power works in your finances: while others budget and scrounge under the economy, the world's financial system does not govern a believer living a supernatural life. A man of God must know what he carries, as Paul longed to impart a spiritual gift, and he says without apology that God has given him an anointing to cause people to prosper and to heal. Money and promotion are looking for you, and your confession is the signal that answers, 'I'm here.'

4. Far above all principality: the power of attorney

   God raised Christ and seated Him not just above but far above all principality, the prince of the power of the air, and at His name every knee must bow, including sickness and death. Read your Bible with emphasis: 'far above' means the devil cannot even see that far, and we are seated there with Christ. You have the power of attorney to use His name for contracts, business and promotion. It is not in your nature to lack or live below the breadline: your nature is to soar, to take God at His word, because faith does not walk or jump but leaps and grabs hold.

5. Receive the signal: don't wait for a miracle, work it

   The Word in the meeting is waiting for someone to leap and seize it, not to analyse it or make it of no effect through tradition. In the same church rain falls on one group and not another, because one group provokes the anointing while the other wonders what happened.

   Illustration: A brand new television set switched on cannot show anything until the aerial is connected; then you can flip through the channels.

6. Set-apart ones: God shows you off

   In the Amplified the saints are 'set-apart ones'. God sets you apart to display His wisdom and power, as He did through Pharaoh, so that the family who wrote you off sees what He has done. God is a specialist physician in the life of the spirit who knows how to connect you to the right person at the right time. Surrender your analytical mind to the Holy Spirit as you would to a surgeon you have never met, and He will lead you, even giving dreams and showing you what to pray in tongues.

   Illustration: You trust a surgeon you have never seen, recommended by your GP, and go under the anaesthetic. God is the specialist, and the Holy Ghost is the anaesthetic. If the person who can help you is at the front of the plane and you are in the last seat, God knows how to connect you.

7. Too big to be intimidated

   Spirit-filled believers are on 'auto cruise': others may fight them, but they know who they are and cannot be threatened or diminished. Rahab told the spies that when Jericho heard what God had done for Israel, their knees trembled. You are not small: you are very big.

8. God's eternal purpose: live the supernatural life unconsciously

   God's purpose is that your life has a supernatural element and that you experience the supernatural flow every day. You live a human life unconsciously, showering, eating and dressing without thinking, and God wants you to live the supernatural life just as naturally: praise in your mouth when you wake, checking with the Holy Spirit when someone tells you a tall story. Reject bad dreams, bad news, depression and discouragement, because you are bigger than devils, and if you are stuck, you stopped yourself.

   Illustration: If you have a bad dream, it came to you by mistake: do not collect the package. If you dream of pushing a wheelbarrow, say you want the BMW and give the devil his dream back.

   “God wants you to live a supernatural life unconsciously.”

9. You are in training: pass the test at every level

   The Lord told him to remind some who are tithing and sowing but not yet seeing results that they are in transition and in training. If you cannot beat the small devils on one level, you cannot be promoted to the next, where the opposition is bigger, so do not throw in the towel. Someone who lies in bed for three days because a person said they did not love them has been capsized by a small devil. He says he has fought battles nobody knows about and cannot be discouraged.

   Illustration: He says he has 'crocodile skin' and has told the devil, by SMS, email and in person, that poverty and sickness are not his portion and must not come near his house.
