The Hidden Man of the Heart (1)
Pastor Zubeda Sing
“But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”
The Bible speaks of the Real Man. This part of man is the Recreated Man. This is the part of man that can know God and have fellowship with him. This part of man is referred to as the hidden man or the inner man. That means, besides what you see on the outside, there is another person on the inside. Now let us look at some references in this regard. *Romans 7:22, “For I delight in the law of God after the inward man.”*
This is a direct reference to the Spirit of man, which knows and which is immortal. It also takes in the soul, that is, the seat of the feelings, emotions and desires. For Paul not only knew and willed to do the Will of God, but he also delighted in it.
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” Here, direct reference is made to the Outward Man and the Inward Man. While the outward man, your body perishes; Paul is saying that the inward man is renewed day by day. This scripture reference gives us a glimpse of what is on the inside of us. Glory to God!
