The Word of God is as Rain and Snow to Refresh

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater.”
God reveals Himself to man by His Word, which shall not return to him void (or in vain). The Word of God, therefore, accomplishes its purpose in announcing Salvation to all mankind. This Salvation includes; wholeness, soundness, health, deliverance, wealth, provision and well-being. Therefore, the Word of God is likened to rain and snow to refresh. *Deuteronomy 32:2, “My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass.”*
As the rain and snow fall from Heaven to water the earth and make it bring forth seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so it is with God’s Word. He has sent it to you for a purpose and it will accomplish that purpose in your life. Let the Word of God be continually on your lips, as a seed and it will bring you a perpetual harvest of good things. What a joy it is to be led forth in such peace and assurance. *Psalm 72:6, “He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers [that] water the earth.”*
You may experience all sorts of challenges in life, but don’t let them overwhelm you. God is with you and in you. Let His Word quench you with Mighty Power. Go forward being refreshed. You are well able to overcome. God’s Word will bring forth many wonderful things in your life.
