The Word of God - A Sword to Cut
Dr RJ Sing
“For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
God’s Word is Quick. In other words, God’s Word is Living. This word is first in the Greek and is the emphasis. God’s Word is not old or archaic. It is alive. It is not inept or inactive. It is powerful and active. It reaches into the inner secrets of man’s mind to discern even his thoughts and intents. Likewise, God’s eye sees man as though he was naked, unable to hide behind excuse or pretense.
*Psalm 147:15, “He sendeth forth his commandment [upon] earth: his word runneth very swiftly.” This is indeed a powerful Scripture. Look, this verse states that His Word runs swiftly. This is beautiful. There is no delay, no stalling but swiftness
“And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me.”
You are to take the Word of God and wield it as a weapon. Be a wielder of the Word of God. It is a sword and a mighty weapon in your hands and mouth. Begin to hurl God’s Word in battle and the enemy will be routed. Everything you are dealing with is subject to change. Don’t change your confession and your believing. Stay positive and focus on the prize. God’s Word in your life is running swiftly to produce. *“He sendeth forth his commandment [upon] earth: his word runneth very swiftly.” Psalm 147:15.*
