Testing the Spirits
Dr RJ Sing
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”
Today, we are living in challenging times. Information through the media is being hurled at us at a tremendous speed. What we see or hear is not always the truth. It may sound right but the Bible tells us to test the Spirits.
Believers should try the Spirits. You must check to see that what you are opening your life to is of God. Something may be packaged in a Christian Package, but it may be of the Devil. Does not the Bible say that the devil comes in as an “Angel of Light”. It does take a great deal of maturity to discern between what is good and what is evil. But thank God for Jesus Christ our Lord and the anointing of His Spirit.
Refuse to be deceived and close your life to all deception. As believers we are to be on guard. Every Believer should reach a place in the Holy Spirit where He has NO desire except the Desire of God. Many people today are just following MEN blindly and affording them a “God like status”. Many cults began this way. We are to be careful to let God Almighty be God in our lives. It is Scriptural to Honor Men of God but not to worship man. (See Acts 28:10)
