How to Practice the Anointing
From the desk of Pastor Sing
Greetings in the wonderful Name of Jesus Christ. Thank you so much for your love and support in our Vision. I love you all dearly and speak blessings and favor over you through the month of October. This month I would like to talk to you on ‘*How to Practice the Anointing’.*
One of the saddest scriptures in the entire Bible is the passage that details the Holy Spirit’s departure from Samson. Interestingly, when the Holy Spirit came on him, He did so in grand appearance much like when He came on the believers in Jerusalem at Pentecost. But when the Holy Spirit departed from Samson, He did so quietly that no one knew, not even Samson.
Delilah lulled Samson to sleep while she seduced him on her knees. When he was asleep, she called for a man to shave all his hair. As a result, Samson became devoid of his strength. This story really concerns God’s Anointing upon a person’s life. The whole idea behind this story is that once you know for sure that God’s Anointing is on your life, you must do everything in your power to protect that Anointing. The Anointing comes, but when it goes it is gone.
There are many areas in which the enemy may come and try to destroy you. The most obvious is in the area of Pride. Pride is the original sin. James 4:6-7 “6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Isaiah 14:13-14, “13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”
Because of satan’s pride he was literally thrown out of heaven. If the spirit of pride catches you out, you must surrender that evil spirit to Jesus at once. Samson’s problem was both a pride issue as well as one of sexual immorality. Samson believed that he could not be taken down. He began to believe that his strength was unmatched and that God would always empower him to get the job done.
You must remember that pride is satan’s bated trap to cause your life to be ensnared. No matter how high you think you have travelled up the ladder of spiritual success, you will always be required by God to demonstrate a spirit of humility. It is humility that will keep you on top. Pride will tumble you to the bottom.
Once you begin to think that you are responsible for your success, you are seconds away from losing your anointing. You must make every effort to protect the Anointing in your life. When you are challenged humble yourself. Do not follow the reasoning of your human mind. Many people think that they have a spirit of humility and it is not. The question as to whether you have a spirit of humility or not, is determined when you are challenged in life. How will you respond?
I trust that these words will strengthen you and help you close the doors to the devil. Give him no place in your life. In due season God will exalt you and grant you the desires of your heart. As your Pastor and Spiritual Mentor, I pray for you daily and take pleasure in watching you grow into Spiritual Maturity.
I love you very much...Pastors Roshan and Zubeda Sing
