Power Principle for Giving No.14 (Part 2)

Dr RJ Sing

“On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: “'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.”
Mark 11:15-17

The Temple was established by God to be a Holy place where people come to meet with Him, worship Him, offer their sacrifices and to learn the Scriptures. But corrupt men had turned the Temple Courts into a market place. Jesus wanted the people to know the True Purpose of the Temple. After driving the buyers, sellers and money changers out, He began to teach them… “Is it not written, my house shall be called a house of Prayer for all Nations? But you have made it a robbers den” (Verse 17). Once the Temple was cleansed, there was an awesome release of the Miracle Power of God. The blind and lame came to Jesus in the Temple, and He healed them there! (Matthew 21:14)

God intended His Church to be the House of Prayer and Healing centers where people can come to be saved, delivered and healed by the Power of Almighty God. Our giving to God must be holy and acceptable for the fulfillment of His purposes. Selfish desires must be burned out of our lives in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
