God Performs Miracles
Dr RJ Sing
“O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation”
A woman whose husband had cancer, said that the doctor told her that her husband needed a miracle. The following day she read the above Scripture verse. “Then I just knew that the Lord was going to perform a miracle,” she said. Her husband is now recovered. We worship a God who can perform miracles! In the Old Testament, God often delivered His people by performing miracles.
Jesus also performed many miracles when He dwelt on earth. God is still perfectly able to perform miracles today. We witness so few miracles not because God is powerless, but because we lack faith. In God’s creation, you can encounter miracles every day: the dry branches of a tree that are covered in delicate pink blossoms overnight; a caterpillar that turns into a brown cocoon and then becomes a multi-colored butterfly.
God also performs supernatural miracles. We all know of people who recovered from illness against all medical expectation; others who were protected in a supernatural way. The God whom you worship is a God of miracles! If your faith in Him is strong enough, you will experience these miracles in your own life.
