Understanding Your Purpose – Part 9

“Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.”
What is the Glory of God? It is who God is (It is His nature, the weight of His importance, his radiance splendour, the demonstration of His power, the expression of His Goodness and all His other intrinsic qualities.) Where is the Glory of God? We see it everywhere, from the smallest microscopic life to the skies, heavens, Milky Way and galaxies.
Throughout history, God has revealed His Glory, in the Garden of Eden, Moses, the Tabernacle and the Temple, through Jesus and then through the Church. God’s glory is best seen in Jesus Christ and because of Jesus we are no longer in the dark about God. Living for God’s glory is the greatest achievement we can accomplish with our lives.
Question: How can I bring Glory to God? Jesus told the Father: John 17:4 (NLT) “I brought Glory to you here on earth by doing everything you told me to do.” Jesus honoured God by fulfilling His purpose on earth and we are to honour God the same way.
