Your Assignment in the Kingdom – Part 5
Dr RJ Sing
“Because of this Bretheren, be all the more solicitous, and eager to make sure (to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast) your calling and election; for if you do this, you will never stumble or fall.”
God intervenes in our lives, at a particular moment and calls us. The call of God is the point at which God’s Eternal purposes emerge out of Eternity and impact us in time. That is why the call is such a crucial moment in our lives. All of us were busy, then suddenly comes the interruption, that’s when you know, God has called me and your whole destiny is now determined by the way you respond.
Everything God planned for you will happen because He said, it will happen. All you have to do is stay in harmony with His plan and with Him. Most of the promises that God gives you are far too great to achieve by your own efforts. We have to embrace them by faith and say God, You said it, You will do it.
So, when you respond to His call, He saves you. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 NKJV “But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation.” God chose you to be saved. John 15:16 "You didn't choose me! I chose you!” When you are called of God, you are called to salvation, but the calling of God begins only when you get saved. So, you may have been saved, but you may have never really discovered your calling.
