A Life Rooted in God – Part 4

Dr RJ Sing

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”
(2 Corinthians 5:18-19 – NIV)

There is power in God’s Word when we keep it. John 15:5 NIV “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” Jesus describes Himself as the Vine and His disciples as the Branches. If you clip a branch from another tree, and plant it again in the soil it will grow. That is not true for the grape vine. No matter how rich and green it looks, a branch apart from the vine will wither and die. You are to have Faith in God. Luke 17:6 NIV “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.”

Faith is simply believing and acting on the words of the integrity of another. Faith in God is to believe and act on what He says and the Words of Jesus as recorded in the Gospel of Mark admonish us to have Faith in God. Mark 11:22-23 - What God is saying is, “Have the God Kind of Faith.” Don’t put your faith in your own faith, don’t put your faith in the faith of others, but put your faith in God and because of your faith in Him, you will accomplish moving mountains. You can’t speak to the mountain and expect it to move unless you are connected to God. Apart from Him you don’t have the Power to complete such monumental tasks.
