The Power of Words – Part 2

The words we speak are indeed very important. They will point us and take us along a direction of life or destruction. Matthew 12:36 – 37, “And I tell you this, that you must give account on Judgment Day for every idle word you speak. 37 Your words now reflect your fate then: either you will be justified by them or you will be condemned.”

Your tongue is very important. It is compared to a rudder of a ship, in other words a small rudder directs a huge ship in the direction the captain chooses. In the same way, your tongue directs your entire life in the way you choose to go. Ephesians 4:29 “Don't use bad language. Say only what is good and helpful to those you are talking to, and what will give them a blessing.”

From this day make up your mind to choose life and head in that direction by choosing your words carefully when you speak. Proverbs 16:24 “Kind words are like honey enjoyable and healthful.” You are indeed a Righteous man/woman. Let your mouth be a well of life. As you speak, let your words edify and build others around you. Let your communication minister grace unto the hearers. Be an encourager and exhorter from this day onwards.
