The Power of Words – Part 1
Dr RJ Sing
“If you want a happy, good life, keep control of your tongue, and guard your lips from telling lies.”
Words are very important to the New Creation being. Words will build or break down. Words put together make up sentences. Sentences put together make up a language. This New Creation man now has to speak the language of the Word of God. This is so very important. I want to illustrate to you the importance of words. Every word that you utter carries power. A power to destroy or to build. That is why, a New Creation being in Christ, cannot afford to speak “idle” words.
James 1:26, “Anyone who says he is a Christian but doesn't control his sharp tongue is just fooling himself, and his religion isn't worth much.” Proverbs 15:4, “Gentle words cause life and health; griping brings discouragement.” Psalms 141:3, “Help me, Lord, to keep my mouth shut and my lips sealed.” Ephesians 4:29, “Don't use bad language. Say only what is good and helpful to those you are talking to, and what will give them a blessing.”
So in order to see good days, refrain your tongue from speaking evil and negative things. Be a seeker of peace and pursue it with all of your will. This way peace will surround you as a shield each and every day.
