God’s Will for My Money – Part 2

“Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.”
The above verse of Scripture is beautiful. But when will wealth and riches be found in your house? When you fear the Lord and find great delight in His commands. This is when wealth and riches shall be in your house. The theme of Psalms 112 is that right dealing with our finances establishes us for ever in the Righteousness of God.
If we do not handle our money rightly, we will never be established in the Righteousness of God. Let me give you a beautiful teaching of Jesus found in the Book of Matthew: ““Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV.
Right giving ensures that God will provide for us in this world, but that is not the ultimate. The ultimate truth is that we are laying up treasures in Heaven in proportion to what we give on earth. Where you invest is where you are concerned. If you are more concerned for the Kingdom, you must invest more.
