The Word of God is as Gold to Enrich

Here the Psalmist places God’s Word above the value of gold and fine gold. In other words, the Word of God enriches an individual. This is what one must do in life. Place the Word of God above all else. This is what makes an individual successful and prosperous in life. Everything began with the Word of God. This is where we must begin as well.

*John 1.1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The Word of God must dwell in you. Colossians 3:16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” The Word of God is your heritage and the proclamation of your rights

The Word of God must be the joy of your life. Fix your heart on keeping the Word of God before you at all times. Refuse to mingle with, listen to, or debate with double-minded and faithless people. Do not allow their cancerous ways to pollute your life and draw you away from the joy and prosperity that your Heavenly Father has provided for you. *Psalm 19:10-11, “More to be desired [are they] than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: [and] in keeping of them [there is] great reward.” This should be your intense desire to love God’s Word above all else
