Giving Is Sowing (Part 3)
Dr RJ Sing
“But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
A farmer does not walk down the street and cast seed into the gutter and then expect a harvest. You might say that idea is absurd. But many Christians do this with their money. They cast their money without care or prayer in places where it never brings an increase. The soil in which we sow must be good soil.
Here are four questions one should consider or ask when sowing:
- Is the Ministry Anointed and fruitful?
- Is it ethical? Is it ethical in the way it appeals for money and the way it handles money?
- Is the Ministry aligned with Scripture?
- Are the Leaders prayerful, industrious and efficient?
Make sure that you are not sowing your money into the gutter. In other words, don’t sow your money to a “cult” or give your money into dry, arid or barren ground. This will not be fruitful and productive. So, be wise and sow into good fruitful ground in order for you to experience a bumper harvest.
