Hold Up Your Pastor’s Arms!

Dr RJ Sing

“12 But Moses' hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.17:13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.”
Exodus 17:12, 13

In Exodus 17, Moses and the children of Israel fought a battle against Amalekites. Moses the leader, and his two helpers, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the Hill to watch the battle and when Moses held up his hands, the Israelites prevailed over their enemies.

But when his arms got tired and he lowered them, the Amalekites prevailed. So Aaron and Hur rushed to aid Moses holding up his arms so the battle could be won. The Israelites won their battle when someone helped to hold up the arms of the leader. This is what can happen in your church too. Your Pastor can’t do everything himself.

When helps ministers hold up his arms by doing the work of the Ministry in the church, the whole congregation can win battles and many souls to the Lord. Notice this scripture also says they hold up his arms until the Sun went down. That means they stuck with Moses, holding up his arms even when things were hard. They did not give up until the job was done.
