The Spiritual Law of Sowing and reaping Part 1
From the desk of Pastor Sing
Greetings to my precious partners in Christ. This month I would like to share with you along the lines regarding “The Spiritual Law of Sowing and reaping Part 1.”
We have now entered the year 2016 and I decree that this year will be a year of supernatural breakthroughs, uncommon favor and manifestations of goodness and kindness in your life and in the lives of your families. I have been praying for your success, promotion and the blessings of Abraham to come upon and reside over your lives. This year you have been earmarked for favor beyond measure. Now let us get into our subject of “what you sow is what you reap”.
“Give, and it will be given to you.”
In the above Scripture, the “it” given to us is what we give. What we give is what will return to us. This is obvious. Take the example of a seed: When we plant an apple seed, we don’t expect to harvest peaches. If we plant corn seed, then corn is what we will harvest. It becomes important, then, to understand what we want to harvest. The kind of harvest you want determines the seed you need to sow.
If you want more time, then you sow time to God, in serving Him. If you want friendships, then you sow your friendship to others. If we want a harvest of money, then we need to sow money. Whatever we sow we will reap.
As believers, we seek to meet the needs we are presented with. If we have what people need, then that is what we are called to give. We are channels of provision from God to the people of this world. If God can get it through us, He will get it to us.
“Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey.”
The blessing of God will cover our entire lives if we sow throughout all the areas of our lives. If we sow at church, at home, at work, at play, with friends, with strangers, we will also reap in all of those areas. Wherever the waters of God are flowing for us, we should sow.
Every day we should scheme to bless someone. If we spend our days giving, we will also spend our days reaping. If giving is an infrequent event for us, then reaping will also be infrequent. If we give in only one or two areas, then we will reap only in one or two areas. The farmer, who sows seed by all streams on his land and not just the main river, will reap by all the streams, not just the main river.
Isaiah 32:20 also speaks of giving without prejudice. There are many streams that we are not involved in personally, but it doesn’t mean we should not be sowing into those streams. If we sow into streams other than our own, we will reap from streams other than our own.
Isaiah says the person who sows beside all waters will be blessed. That applies to those who send out ministries all over the world. When we sow every day, in every given situation, we will be continuously reaping in every situation.
Every Good Work
“God is able to make all grace abound towards you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work”.
In the above scripture, Paul says that God is able to make all grace abound towards s so that we will have all sufficiency in all things, and we will have an abundance for every good work. That may be the most sweeping promise in the entire Bible. All the grace of God abounds towards the generous believer so they will have all they need in every area of their lives. They will have enough cars, houses, clothes, money, food, and everything else necessary to enable them to get involved in every good work. That applies not just on payday, or once a year, or once a month, but every day – morning, noon and night.
We should be perpetually able to contribute to, and get involved in, every good work that comes our way. When the general offering for the tithe comes, we give. When the building funds come, we give. When the missions fund offering comes, we give. When the love offering comes, we give. When the special offering comes, we give.
When we meet people in need, we give. When we simply want to be generous and bless people, we give. Sowers are never in a position where they are unable to give, because of the abundance that God has supplied them with for every good work – which is everywhere they sow.
We Love You very Much, Dr. Roshan and Pastor Zubeda Sing.
